A really neat site by The Discovery Channel. Features information about sustainability and new green technology (including energy stuff), and connects you with a community of like-minded people.

Union of Concerned Scientists

This is a really informative site that goes over some of the basics of fuel economy and energy independence. It addresses current U.S. laws, discusses technological innovations, and gives real-life tips about how to improve the fuel economy of your vehicles.

The latest from Al Gore, presented on TED

This talk picks up where An Inconvenient Truth left off, and has a good mix of science, economics and policy. Only twenty minutes long, it’s easily digestible and pretty interesting.

More goodness from TED, this is John Doerr

John Doerr is a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley, and has some really great insights on the role of business, policy-makers and individuals in mitigating the climate crisis.  He speaks very eloquently and has a deep appreciation for the urgency of the situation.  It’s really quite moving at the end.
